We had a PERFECT day for our first ever car wash fundraiser! We had a slow start but once the cars started coming we were kept busy. We raised $200 in car wash money, $10 in t-shirt money, $7.00 in raffle ticket money, and another $11 in donations. We even had the "Red Bull" vehicle stop buy and give us all free Red Bull drinks to keep us hydrated in the warm sun. That was so nice of them. Didn't get a picture as they hurried off before I could get there as I was holding a sign across the street. Oh, well, next year! A big thanks to Sandie and Lorraine for dropping off the tables, signs, canopy, picture books and board, etc. and then coming back to pick it all up. And BIG THANK YOU'S to our volunteers and foster homes who made signs and came to help with the car wash. Everyone did a fantastic job and this event would not have been successful without you! We'll do this again next year and we're already kicking around ideas to make it even bigger and better!
Don't forget our annual reunion picnic on Saturday, August 9th!!!!
