Our first parade and everything came together beautifully. We had a wonderful turnout with 12 dogs, 11 adults, and 6 kids marching in the parade. The kids were troupers as we had several miles to walk. Well, three dogs rode in the "Mutt Mobile" and one rode in the "Mutt Wagon". The dogs behaved and several were quite popular with the spectators getting lots of attention and pets! Everyone had a wonderful time. We passed out over 500 flyers and several pounds of candy. Many people were interested to learn about our rescue and one lady even followed us a whole block to get a flyer! We've already had one email from a parade spectator asking about adopting a dog and over 400 hits on our website in less than 12 hours since the parade! Just think of how many more dogs can be saved and adopted through this type of exposure?! I'm very happy with the turn out and the positive response to this parade participation and am already looking forward to next year. We still have one more parade to walk in and that's in Mentor Headlands on July 4th. Will add another picture page for that parade!
We won FIRST PLACE for businesses entered in this parade, check out the first two pictures. We'll get a check which will be used towards vet expenses. Way to go Mini Mutts!!!
