Ashling was found by one of our volunteers on Petfinder and drove several hours to save her from sure death. You see, Ashling was extremely skinny, emaciated, had kennel couch borderline pneumonia, and heartworm positive! We didn't know about the heartworm until we tested her but because of her sweet, sweet face and awesome personality we decided to treat her. First Ashling had to recover from the kennel cough and that took a couple weeks. Finally it was time to treat her but guess what? Someone fell in love with her and wanted to adopt her! Her new mom, Shannan, started by fostering her but quickly knew it was a forever relationship. Ashling survived her heartworm treatment and is recovering with Shannan now. Already Ashling has learned to sit, stay, roll over, get your toy, sit pretty, and walk fairly well on a leash. She's gained several pounds already and looks really, really good.
